Are 3-drawer inserts compatible with the 2-drawer system?
Yes — all 3-drawer inserts will fit perfectly in the 2-drawer system.
Will these inserts work with the PACKOUT™ 3-drawer + deep drawer combo (48-22-8447)?
Partially.
• The top two shallow drawers are too shallow — inserts will NOT fit
• The bottom deep drawer is the same height as a 2-drawer
→ This means it can fit both 2-drawer and 3-drawer inserts
Are 2-drawer inserts compatible with the 3-drawer system?
No — 2-drawer inserts are NOT compatible with the 3-drawer system due to height restrictions.
Do these inserts work on both left and right sides of the drawer?
Yes — all drawer inserts are left/right compatible.
Just note:
• Flipping the insert will reverse the orientation
• What normally faces you may face away depending on placement
Can I flip the drawer upside down without things falling out?
No.
These are open drawer systems, not sealed organisers:
• Items are not locked in by a lid
• If the drawer is flipped — contents will move
This is intentional to avoid tools scraping against the drawer top and getting damaged.
Will these inserts fit other PACKOUT™ boxes or organisers?
No — each insert is purpose-built for a specific PACKOUT™ system.
