We spent time understanding how this tool is handled on site. The insert gives the HACKZALL™ a snug, protective fit while leaving enough room for a comfortable grip when lifting it in or out. Because of the tool’s weight and shape, we added extra clearance around key areas so you can handle it safely and confidently, even when wearing gloves.

Built for the Long Game

We wanted to give the user more freedom and order when storing blades, so we developed a dedicated blade holder with a slight angle for better visibility and smoother access. The ergonomic grip makes it easy to remove or carry, and the small bevels at the ends of each slot help guide blades into place without catching. These refinements came directly from hands-on testing — the kind of small improvements that make a big difference over time.

Flexible Power Compatibility

We know everyone runs different setups, so we made sure this insert accommodates both the high-output and compact M12 batteries. The top-right cavity fits the high-output battery up to 6Ah, while the lower base area holds the compact 2.0Ah battery. We designed it this way so you’re never locked into one configuration — you can run your tools the way you want to.
