Where to find it. The black metal nameplate on the back of the tool — the one with the Milwaukee branding. The model number sits above the longer serial number.
Type the model number from the nameplate on the back of your tool. Anything after the dash is the kit it came in and does not affect the fit.

Here’s everything you need to know before setting up your PACKOUT™ drawers with Code Breaker Labs inserts.
Are 3-drawer inserts compatible with the 2-drawer system?
Yes — all 3-drawer inserts will fit perfectly in the 2-drawer system.
Will these inserts work with the PACKOUT™ 3-drawer + deep drawer combo (48-22-8447)?
Partially.
• The top two shallow drawers are too shallow — inserts will NOT fit
• The bottom deep drawer is the same height as a 2-drawer
→ This means it can fit both 2-drawer and 3-drawer inserts
Are 2-drawer inserts compatible with the 3-drawer system?
No — 2-drawer inserts are NOT compatible with the 3-drawer system due to height restrictions.
Do these inserts work on both left and right sides of the drawer?
Yes — all drawer inserts are left/right compatible.
Just note:
• Flipping the insert will reverse the orientation
• What normally faces you may face away depending on placement
Can I flip the drawer upside down without things falling out?
No.
These are open drawer systems, not sealed organisers:
• Items are not locked in by a lid
• If the drawer is flipped — contents will move
This is intentional to avoid tools scraping against the drawer top and getting damaged.
Will these inserts fit other PACKOUT™ boxes or organisers?
No — each insert is purpose-built for a specific PACKOUT™ system.
Always check compatibility before purchasing.
